This is where it all began. This schoolhouse
owned by Cornelius Boring near New Pennington
was used as a church meeting house by Rev.
Authur Boring. Revival's was held at the
schoolhouse by Rev. Curts. Many families started
coming to the revivals here and some still have
descendants in the church today, some 6th and
7th generations later. Some of the people that
were a part of the 1st Bethel generation were the
Holzhause, Kress, Colson, Cruze, Price and
Castor families....
